Phoning In Your Thanks

Yesterday I got a nice suprise phone call from Interfaith Ministries, just thanking me for my yearly gift. While the call came from a volunteer and not the ED (which would have been better…esp. since I know her personally) it was still a nice gesture.

Today I read a great article from Help 4 Nonprofits that illustrates how calling donors, espcially first time givers, can make a big difference.

…the effect goes beyond just the money. It has to do with building those relationships, one at a time. We never know what relationships, what wisdom, what experience – what value – any of our supporters has until we make that connection, one on one.

Don’t skip over the Epilogue… it has a great “what happened next” story!
